To Progress Is. 2016 - 2018.
How do I know when I’m making progress? Is it a destination or an experience? The future is uncertain, time is unrelenting, and I’m trying to make peace with where I am right now.
I started this series in the Fall of 2016 amidst political upheaval in the United States. At the same time, my small family had its own dramas, and I made these in an attempt to see how I might depict something balanced out of unbalanced elements.
These are acrylic paintings on birch wood panel with some digital photos and one animation as an accompaniment to the series.
