Enn Portrait

Here's the portrait I mentioned in my last post. I decided to tackle an oil painting portrait after the drawings I've done lately. Oil paintings just seem more substantial and I just wanted to see if I could do it. I'm happy with the process so far. I got scared after the first stage because I couldn't see Enn's face in the painting, but now when I squint my eyes and look into it, I feel like that day in November '03 when I took the original photo. I feel like I am looking into the face of my firstborn infant son, and I remember the precious intensity in his small face. I love that memory.Anyway, this is a work in progress. The actual painting is in brown tints because it's the underpainting to the color portrait I will have in the end. I changed it to a B&W pic so the brown tints wouldn't be distracting. That's all for now.
