"Give to Me"
Give to Me
Take away uncertainty
and give me wide open spaces of
breathable air–where I see ocean, oceans, and miles of sunlight,
and the earth that takes me there.

I wrote this is for you. I was working on more with this poem, but then I edited it to just this first portion and I think it captures enough for now. I am thinking about you (have been all day long) and yes, praying for you and for little El. Anyone who reads this, if you believe in prayer at all, please say a little prayer that fourteen month old Ell will turn out healthy and strong and a-ok.
Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary ,and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
