Now It's Something

I'm getting into the TMI details here, but such is life...

I had to pee, then I wiped, and there it was- a tiny spot of red. A bright spot. TINY.
And strangely, relief.
If this is a period, and I am not pregnant, do I get to go to Europe now? Will I have a normal summer?
And then it hit me.
Implantation bleeding.
I forgot about that.
So I decided to google. I had thought it would've happened 2-4 days post fertilization, but maybe this cell baby is a Take Your Time kind of cell baby?
Here's what Mayo Clinic says, just so's you don't think I'm nuts. Plus, I had it both times before also, but I recall having positive prego tests by then.
For some women, a small amount of spotting. . . is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy. Known as implantation bleeding, it happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus- about 10 to 14 days after fertilization.
So it takes 12-48 hours before the egg gets fertilized by the sperm, so I am within that bracket of time.
Oh well. And I was working into an excitement over my summer plans.
Give me a minute, and if things turn +, I will be working myself into excitement about welcoming a new baby.
At least I have something else to think about other than hating pregnancy test sticks. If the poor thing just implanted, no wonder I have no detectable hormones. They don't get produced until after the blastocyst implants.
I should've been a fertilization specialist.
